Nepali Kollywood Movie Review

Story :
A different story with routine touch, the film is about Karthik (Bharath), a software professional and a very kind hearted guy. Things change in his life when he comes across Priya (Meera Jasmine) and in no time their friendship turns into love and they decide to get married. But then there is a strong opposition from Priya' s family and with no other choice, both of them escape from their house and get married in a typical filmi way. Everything is hunky dory until a police officer sees Priya and starts lusting for her from the first instant. His obsession for her crosses the limit and one day he goes and attempts to rape her and in that chaotic situation, Priya gets killed and the cop manages to shift the blame on Karthik.  Enraged by this, Karthik butchers the cop and ends up in jail to serve his punishment. Meanwhile, he comes across a senior social worker (Govind Namdeo) who hails from Nepal and Karthik gets fully inspired by his words. The social worker stands up for the rights of women and protests against the harassment on women at work. Taking this in mind, Karthik comes out of jail and his sole objective in life is to eliminate all those who trouble women at work. A series of killings happen and the government gets in DCP Gautham (Prem) who is assigned the task of nabbing the killer? Does Prem get successful? What is the title's connection to the story? All this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation :
The director has attempted to come up with a variety subject but then he had to more adept in its presentation and the narration of the plot which failed. The screenplay was good at few places but lost out miserably in few scenes. Not much help was got from the music department and the editing could have been a lot better. The camera work was excellent and the scenes looked really impressive. The idea to make it look like a suspense thriller was good but it did not drive across the message correctly. Bharath came out with an exemplary performance and sometimes he looked like a genuine Nepali with his make up. Meera Jasmine was good too and there were few shots which revealed the wild side in her. The real stunner was Prem who came across as a true revelation and his role as a cop was 100% match. The others were just about okay.

Conclusion :
Though the idea of presenting a thriller was coming across clearly, the first half starts on a good note with three different stories happening. However, it is the second half which messed up the whole movie and turned out to be a hotchpotch of confusion and makes the audience restless to see the end titles. The director was not able to carry the three different stories and give them a proper ending. While the hype has been high for the movie, it fails to stand upto the expectations. It might recover its costs and make some profit also but a hit looks really doubtful.

Bharatstudent verdict :An average entertainer, nothing new about it.
