Nedunchalai Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
Set on the backdrop of 80s, the story begins with Manga (shivada) who runs a food stall on highway but the business is poor. Things change due to a highway bandit Murugan (aari). Due to his fear, the truck drivers take a different route which passes through Manga’s place. Business picks up but soon Murugan attacks Manga’s food stall. She goes to the police and inspector Masanam (prashant) lusts Manga. But she rejects his moves and due to few twists, Murugan falls in love with Manga. What happens after that forms the rest.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a routine storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was not that good. The dialogues were alright. The script was average and the screenplay was not that great. The background score was melodious and three songs were worth watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was weak. Costumes were well designed to suit the backdrop while the art department was realistic. Aari has done his job with good conviction. Shivada Nair looks seductive and has performed well. Prashant Narayanan was intense. Thambi Ramaiah was entertaining and elegant. Salim Kumar was standard.

Conclusion:
It is not necessary that an interesting concept can become an interesting story because it has to be packaged well with crisp narrative. That was missing in this movie. The first half was quite lengthy and the interval bang was predictable. The second half didn’t have anything great and barring the visual brilliance, the content and the packaging was not impressive. At the box office, the film doesn’t have big chance to succeed.
