Nanjupuram Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
A revenge saga, the story is set on the backdrop of Nanjupuram village which is filled with deadly and poisonous snakes. However, the villagers don't attack them since they consider the snakes to be sacred. However, when they do find a threat from a snake they ensure that they kill it and not injure it. Apparently, their belief is that the snake will have its revenge in 40 days. The story takes a turn when Velu (raghav), son of a rich man in village falls in love with Malar (monica), who hails from a lower caste. In one instance, he saves Monica from a snake but he doesn't kill the snake. The villagers decide to protect Velu from the snake's revenge and meanwhile Velu's parents discover about his love affair. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a regular storyline and while the presentation was okay, the narrative was not upto the mark. The dialogues were okay, the script was having few loopholes but the screenplay was moderate. Background score was alright and two songs were good. Cinematography was upto the mark. Editing could have been better. Costumes were natural while the art department was matching the situations. Raghav was good with his performance and makes his presence felt. Monica looks sensuous and has a natural sex appeal. Thambi Ramayya was impressive. Priya was adequate, Roshan Raja was standard, the others did their bit as required.

Conclusion:
Snake stories are always hot property among the B, C center audience but one has to come up with a gripping screenplay and an effective pace to give that punch. This was missing in the film. Also, there are few scenes which are confusing and one can see hiccups in the technical values. The first half is busy with the building up of the plot and the second half is about the resolution of the problem. The film would have made better impact if the pace was good. At the box office, this may have good openings but it could be a below average grosser.
