Naane Ennul Illai Kollywood Movie Review
A stale tale, the story begins with Amaresh (amaresh) a college going youth in Chennai and he falls in love with Ishwarya (arya menon) his classmate. However, trouble arises in the form of Ranjith (raghav) who has an eye for Ishwarya and he picks up enmity with Amaresh. On the other hand, Ishwarya's mother (kuyili) wants to see her daughter become a film heroine. Amaresh's father Vasu (nasser) doesn't have enough confidence in his son and keeps reprimanding him for everything. How does Amaresh win Ishwarya's heart, whether he is able to defeat Ranjith, will he ever win his father's confidence, all this forms the rest of the story.
Naane Ennul Illai Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a rather routine story and though presentation was average, the narrative was terrible. The dialogues were dull, the script was predictable and the screenplay was pathetic. Background score was good but only one song is worth hearing. Cinematography was the saving grace. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were good and art department was apt. Amaresh Ganesh tries his best to infuse life into his character but in vain, he doesn't have the appeal of a hero. Arya Menon was just okay. Raghav was regular, the only performances worth watching were that of Nasser, Saranya, Radha Ravi, P Vasu. The others didn't have much to offer.
Naane Ennul Illai Filem Review
The film has come from the home of veteran actress Jayachitra who wanted to see her son Amaresh as the hero. While a mom's desire can be understood, film making is all about knowing the craft and the pulse of the audience. This was missing completely in the film. While the first half was regular with the tale of romance and rivalry, the second half is all about the melodrama, the sentiment and the regular action episodes. Overall, there were many scenes which got dragged and tested the patience of the audience. At the box office, this has very weak chances of survival.
