Story: A sequel to the
original, the story is set on the backdrop of a foreign country and here is
Annamalai (jeevan) who is busy conning rich girls and disappears. However, his
picture appears in newspaper through an interview of Maria (rachana) who says
that she has become a saint thanks to Annamalai and left her mafia lifestyle.
This interview catches the attention of other beauties - Deepa (lakshmi rai) who
is an actress, Nisha (swetha menon), Sakhi (sruthi). All three of them are
cheated by Annamalai and they get in touch with Maria for his whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Annamalai meets with an accident and he is rescued by Mahi
(sangeetha), a Sri Lankan. Annamalai later realizes that she is separated from
her child and decides to help her. Meanwhile, all the girls come after him. What
happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The
director has come up with a spineless theme and though the presentation was
good, the narrative was not upto the mark. The dialogues were sloppy, the script
had flaws, the screenplay was alright. Background score was effective and two
songs can be taken home. Cinematography did its bit as required. Editing could
have been better, costumes were flashy and the art department was creative.
Jeevan did his role well and he is the lucky guy surrounded by all the girls. As
for them, Lakshmi looks lusty, Nisha looked seductive, Sruthi was sweet.
Sangeetha was gracious and Rachana was ravishing, Hema Malini also made her
presence felt. The others didn't have much to offer. |
Conclusion: The film
happens to be a remake of the yesteryear hit which had superstar Rajinikanth in
it. However, there are changes made in the script to suit today's audience.
While the first half goes about with the regular elements of comedy and oomph
show, the second half gets into the plot and has enough twists and turns.
Overall, the film has got massive glamor show given the number of girls and this
should appeal to the front benchers big time, not much for the class or the
family audience. However, weak script and poor narrative might take the film
down in no time. Bharatstudent Verdict: Full commercial treat sans logic |
