Story: A well knit tale, the story begins with Lee (jiiva) who is a happy go lucky guy but he has a strong passion for Kung-Fu and the legend Bruce Lee. He also has great respect for his master Chandru (selva). Lee comes across Sakthi (pooja), daughter of an ace cop Gaurav (nasser) and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, Dragon Ankusamy (narain) runs a martial arts school at day but at night he does robberies with his gang and creates a bloodbath. The story takes a turn when in order to impress Sakthi, Lee wears a superhero costume and unexpectedly nails one of Dragon’s men. The media hails him as Mugamoodi. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was decent.  The dialogues were well written, the script was above average and the screenplay was apt, especially in the first half. Background score was excellent and the songs were worth listening. Cinematography was the best. Editing was required in the second half. Costumes were really praiseworthy while the art department was natural. Jiiva has come up with a commendable performance and he scores well. Pooja didn’t have much to offer. Selva was good. Narain was impressive. Girish Karnad was general. Nasser was natural. The others didn’t have scope.

Conclusion: The film is touted as the first south Indian superhero movie and this is a mix of the east and west. And it must be said that the efforts are worthy. While the first half passess off smoothly with elements of comedy and romance, the second half gets serious. Though there is a drag in few places, the overall film goes on smoothly. The length could have been altered though. Overall, this is a film which will score decently at the box office.
