Masilamani Kollywood Movie Review
A known tale well told, the story begins with Masilamani (nakul) who is an orphan and lives in a lower middle class locality. However, he is the darling for all women as he takes up their issues and fights against anyone who causes trouble to them. His life takes a turn when he meets Divya (sunaina) who is a dance teacher and falls in love with her at first sight. She hates violence and goondaism and much to her fate, she sees Masi doing all sorts of rowdy acts on the streets without knowing the motive. However, he does not give up and takes up a new avatar of Mani, the good guy. He befriends Divya's family when she is not around and gets good impression. Divya from her end has a doubt whether Masi and Mani are the same. To add to it, the corrupt cop Bhoopathy (Pawan) who is after Divya enters the scene and works on revealing the identity of Masi. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Masilamani Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a regular storyline but then it was the presentation and narrative that scored major points. The script was neat, the screenplay was alright, music was effective and the cinematography was impressive. Editing was alright but could have been better. The locations and the costumes are also apt. The film's strength lied in the comedy track and Nakul came up with an elegant performance, even Sunaina looked sensuous and her chemistry with Nakul is excellent. M S Bhaskar and Karunaas provide a lot of funny moments and sends audience into splits of laughter. Pawan was evil enough, Santhanam was standard, the others contributed significantly to the film.
Masilamani Filem Review
The film is more of a romantic entertainer but the backdrop would appeal to the mass audience. While the first half does not really have a story to look at, it is the comedy and the regular masala elements that keeps the audience busy. The second half was alright with some romantic and sentimental scenes along with action. The screenplay was the right tool to impress and also the comedy track was quite strong. The film will do well at the B and C centres and though not much for the urban audience, the film will reach the success mark.

Bharatstudent Verdict: Good entertainer, can be watched once.
