Story: An interesting tale, the story begins in Trichy where Anjali (swathy) is in love with a young man but her marriage gets fixed to a local politician. She elopes with her lover and they take the help of Mannaru (appukutty) who is a school dropout. However, the young man gets married and Anjali escapes with Mannaru from the city. Mannaru takes her to his hometown Kodaikanal and Anjali cooks a story that she is in love with Mannaru and they both are married. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a noted storyline and while the presentation was impressive, the narrative was good in parts.  The dialogues were standard, the script was well knit and the screenplay was effective. Background score was nice and songs are worth a listen. Cinematography was the best among the lot. Editing was required at few places. Costumes were natural and rustic while the art department was suiting the moods. Appukutty scores the brownie points with his innocent performance. Swathy looks sensuous and made her presence felt. Thambi Ramaiah was excellent. Pandiarajan was neat, Vaishali was good.

Conclusion: Though the main essence of a film is predictable it is always the way the script has been woven and how much of entertainment quotient has been pumped into it. That’s what gives this film an edge. While the first half goes off in a promising way with elements of comedy and some romance, the second half has its touching moments and sentiment. Overall, this is a film which will score on performance and technical fronts. At the box office, this would be successful in commercial sense.
