Story: An elegant love tale, the story begins with Karthik (shiv) who is a happy go lucky guy and has an eye for women. He tends to lure them with his charms and develops crush easily. In the same college is the straight forward Malar (mansi). The paths of both cross each other and they hate each other. College gets over and both get into jobs. As fate would have it, they are into the same IT firm but Karthik does his best to stay away from her. However, his heart begins to wander for Malar. What happens from there forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has come up with a urban tale and while the presentation was classy, the narrative was a bit lengthy. The dialogues were written well at few places. The script was regular and the screenplay was well arranged. Background score was good and the songs were hummable to an extent. Cinematography was good. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were designer styled while the art department was colorful and trendy. Shiv Pandit has come up with a good performance and he does justice. Mansi looks pretty and she has given an energetic act. The real show stealer was Santhanam with his punch one-liners. Suhasini Raju was standard, Maya was moderate, Vibha was alright, Lakshmi Natarajan was usual. |
Conclusion: It is always nice to see a glossy romantic entertainer and if it is on the backdrop of software corporates the youth get connected to it easily. While the first half is on the lighter mode with the elements of romance, songs and some cat and mouse games, the second half gets serious with few twists in the plot. However, the length of the film was a bit testing and it could have been trimmed. At the box office, the film has enough material to get the attention of the multiplex audience so it will be a profit grosser. Bharatstudent verdict Cool urban romantic treat |
