Kutti Puli Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
Set on the backdrop of the small town Rajapalayam, the story is about Puli (sasikumar) who is very closely bonded with his mother (saranya). But he indulges into fights wherever there is injustice. The story takes a turn with the arrival of the pretty girl Bharathi (Lakshmi Menon) who becomes a queen of that village with many men chasing her. Few incidents happen and she falls in love with Puli. Meanwhile, one Silambattam match brings enmity for Puli by a group. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a regular storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was alright. The dialogues were well written. The script was average but the screenplay was decent. The background score was suitable and two songs were okay. Cinematography was nice. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were natural while the art department was appealing. Sasikumar has delivered his role in the expected fashion. Saranya Ponvannan is the standard mother. Lakshmi Menon is a natural beauty with homely sex appeal so she scored. Lal was upto the mark. Rama Prabha was regular. The others did their bit as required.

Conclusion:
The tales of mother-son sentiment and that too on rustic backdrops have always worked with the mass audience of Kollywood. This is yet another attempt in that fashion but this time the dose of sentiment and melodrama was high. The first half goes on a lighter mode with elements of comedy, romance, songs but the second half gets a little tipsy with illogical sequences. Overall, this is a film which might be an average fare at the box office.
