Kullanari Koottam Kollywood Movie Review
A light hearted tale, the story is about Vetri (vishnu) who is doing his MBA in Madurai. He has a happy life as his father is a teacher and a working brother. However, his father has got a strict policy that Vetri must keep away from policemen or police station. The story takes a turn when Vetri goes to recharge his dad's mobile and a situation leads him to meet Priya (remya) a girl from Vellore. In no time, both fall in love but then Priya's father is a policeman and he wants his son-in-law to be either from police or Military. Vetri decides to take this as a challenge and goes to Chennai to group up with few friends and hatch a plan. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Kullanari Koottam Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a light hearted storyline and while the presentation was mediocre, the narrative was good. The dialogues were witty at places, the script was interesting and the screenplay was effective. Background score was alright but not all songs were good. Cinematography was the saving grace. Editing was amateur. Costumes were natural while the art department was apt. Vishnu is a show stealer and he entertains at many places. Remya came up with a bubbly performance unlike her regular roles. Suri brought many smiles while Appukutty was appealing. The others did their bit as required and added value to the film.
Kullanari Koottam Filem Review
As such, there is nothing new in the story but it is the way the entire thing is presented and narrated which catches attention. The technical values add extra appeal and performances from few fresh faces are also nice. Importantly, the film doesn't have any sort of raunchy scenes or double meaning dialogues. While the first half is quite enjoyable with romance and comedy, the second half gets a bit tense and relaxes soon. Overall, the film is apt for fun loving audience and this would click at the box office.
