Goa Kollywood Movie Review
A humorous tale, the story begins on the backdrop of the Pannapuram village near Madurai where three friends - Samikannu (Premji Amaran), Vinayakam (Jai) and Ramarajan (Vaibhav) roam around like vagabonds with nothing to do. As expected, the villagers decide that the trio must not be together. Meanwhile, they decide to go to Madurai and on reaching there, they get to see their friend who meets a white girl when he goes to Goa and is now getting married to her. The three decide to do the same and set off to Goa. There they are taken care of by Danny (arvind akash) and in no time, they meet their women (pia, Melanie, Sneha). Are they successful in their mission or not forms the rest of the story.
Goa Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with an interesting theme and both the presentation and narrative were good. The dialogues were good but had few double meanings, the script was bit weak but the screenplay made up for it. Background score was excellent and songs were peppy. Cinematography added another boost to the proceedings. Editing could have been better during the second half. Costumes were worthy and the art department was colorful. Yet again, Premji, Jai, Vaibhav share excellent chemistry on the screen and they bring down the house in laughter. Sneha looks sensuous, Melanie was neat, Pia looked cute. Sampath Raj was a revelation while Anand Akash was okay. The presence of Simbu, Nayantara added to the brand value.
Goa Filem Review
The film is all about having fun and that's how the tempo is right from the start. However, while the first half takes off very well and breezily gets to the interval, the second half gets a bit aimless and even few sequences may not go well with the family audiences. If that had been worked, then the film would have been a lot better. Overall, the performances score the maximum points and at the box office, this will be a decent grosser.
