Engeyum Kaadhal Kollywood Movie Review
A total romance tale, the story begins with the high profile, stylish businessman Kamal (jayam ravi) who is choked up with hectic business schedules. He takes a break and goes to Paris. Here, he comes across Kayal (hansika) who is an Indian born and brought up in France. Her father Rajasekhar (suman) runs a detective agency and in one instance, Kayal discovers that a man (sonu) is bent upon killing Kamal. She decides to save Kamal and this leads to her falling in love with him. In no time, Kamal also leaves Paris and Kayal is heartbroken. However, he returns after one year. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Engeyum Kaadhal Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a heart rendering storyline and while the presentation was fascinating, the narrative could have been better. The dialogues were witty at places, the script was written without many flaws but the screenplay got loosened. Background score was effective and almost all songs have impact. Cinematography was magnificent. Editing was required at few places. Costumes were trendy while the art department was rich. Jayam Ravi has come up with a suave performance and he gets into the skin of the character. Equally good was Hansika and she is a visual delight to the audience. Suman was elegant, Raju Sundaram is a show stealer, Sonu was mean enough. The others did their bit and added value to the film.
Engeyum Kaadhal Filem Review
Usually, realism is the base for most of the Kollywood movie makers but here is one film that is not only sugar coated but has enough gloss to keep the audience glued. It is a rather breezy entertainer which makes the heart feel light when you walk out of the theatre. While the first half goes about on a lighter mode, it is the second half that gets a bit slow. Technically, the film is well made but content part is not that strong. At the box office, this might strike a chord with the youth audience due to its songs and style so it could land in a profit zone.

Bharatstudent Verdict: Touching and visually appealing...
