Doo Kollywood Movie Review
A well knit tale, the story begins with Vasanth (Sanjay) who works in the sub registrar office. He lives with his mom (urvashi) and hangs out with his friends (jeeva, jegan). His life takes a turn when he meets his school friend Swapna (nakshatra), a software professional. In no time, they fall in love. However, as they get to know each other, things begin to change and they split. The story takes a turn with the arrival of Anu (sangeetha), a journalist and she takes a special position in Sanjay's life. However, both Sanjay and Swapna are unable to come over each other's absence. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Doo Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a thought provoking storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was better. The dialogues were good at places, the script was average but the screenplay was appealing. Background score was good and songs were peppy. Cinematography was fresh. Editing gives sharp cuts. Costumes were stylish and fashionable while the art department was suiting rich. Sanjay has given an expressive performance and conveys today's mindset of the youth in the right way. Nakshatra was natural and she portrays today's girls correctly. Jeeva and Jegan bring good smiles. Urvashi was matured. Sangeetha Bhat looks sensuous and did her bit as required. Rajesh was regular. Mayilsamy was meaningful.
Doo Filem Review
The film is a perfect treat for today's generation which seems to have grown unaware of the value of relationships and especially love. While the first half goes in the lighter shades with the romance, songs and comedy, the second half gets serious and gives the right message as to how one must learn to adjust and be flexible with the person they love. Overall, this would work well with the youth audience but the theme has to be driven in the right manner. At the box office, the film has it all to reach the commercial success zone.
Bharatstudent Verdict: Decent and useful for today's generation, watch it!!
