Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai Kollywood Movie Review
A well knit tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a village and its president Perumal (Azhagan) decides to conduct a festival wherein the local deity would be taken on a wooden horse. However, the horses go missing and a police complaint is filed. A cop (suri) enters the village to investigate and disguises himself as an ordinary man. The story takes a turn with the arrival of a white horse in the village and good things begin to happen. The villagers consider it to be the horse from the deity. However, its own Azhagarsamy (appukutty) comes claiming it and files a complaint with the police. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a notable storyline and while the presentation was nice, the narrative was upto the mark. The dialogues were okay, the script was written without much flaws but the screenplay was mediocre. Background score was effective and three songs were the highlight. Cinematography was effective. Editing was required during the first half. Costumes were moderate while the art department was matching the situations and looked apt. Appukutty came up with a perfect performance for the role. Saranya Mohan was brief but breezy, Azhagan was apt, Suri was standard, Prabhakaran was impressive, Devaraj was good. The others did their bit as required.
Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai Filem Review
This is one of those offbeat storylines which make the Kollywood circuit proves its mettle. The creative content is high and the performances were effective. However, the first half is quite mild and it takes a while for the story to pick up. The second half makes up for the slow start and carries the film in a good way. The technical values were decent and the production aspects were good quality. Overall, this is a film which will appeal to the B, C Centre audience and land the film in a safe zone.
