Aridhu Aridhu Kollywood Movie Review

A dull tale, the story begins with a youngster (harish) who is in a brain dead situation and is taken to Australia by his father. Here, the young man gets lost in the crowd and he is rescued by a beautiful NRI girl (uttara). She takes care of him hoping that he would get to meet his parents one day. Meanwhile, a terrorist outfit is in the process of preparing human bombs and one of the terrorist discovers the brain dead young man. He decides to rope in the protagonist and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Aridhu Aridhu Tamil Cinema Review

The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was very weak. The dialogues were simple, the script was stale and the screenplay got elongated. Background score was good and two songs were nice. Cinematography is the highlight of the film. Editing was raw and was not sharp at the required places. Costumes were trendy while the art department was appealing. Harish Shankar was okay and he did his bit as required but then there is no energy in his performance. Uttara was the saving grace, she is not only a striking beauty but has decent acting skills. Meera Nandan was alright, Santhanam was usual but failed to impress with his comedy. Princess Jasmine was nice. The others didn't have much to offer.

Aridhu Aridhu Filem Review

The film could have turned out to be interesting if the makers focused on the content than just the presentation. While the first half takes off in a rather mild note, it is not until the interval the real film gets going. However, the second half is also not very fast and despite good technical values and locations, it failed to engage the audience. The writing is the biggest flaw in the movie and the chances of success at box office are very minimal.
