Story: A
well knit tale, the story begins on the backdrop of US and here is Senthil Kumar
(prasanna) who moves in newly to the country along with his darling wife Malini
(sneha) and their cute kid Akshaya (akshaya). The place is New Jersey and as
expected, the family takes its time to figure out the nuances of that place. The
story takes a turn when they hire maintenance guy Robinson (john shea) for the
painting of their basement. Robin realizes their new arrival and also their
innocence and takes advantage of the situation. He begins to cause trouble to
Malini and Akshaya and literally, he kidnaps them. Senthil gets to know of this
and what follows from there is a tale of twists and turns until the climax. How
it happens and what happens in the end forms the rest of the story |
Presentation: The director has
come up with a simple storyline but it was his narration and presentation that
made the whole difference. The script was crisp, the screenplay was excellent
and the music along with the background score was masterly. The cinematography
was nothing less than marvelous and the costumes, art department looked rather
impressive. Editing was perfect. Added to that, Prasanna gave a very intense
performance while Sneha was simply sensuous and got a lot of attention with her
new toned down looks. The real show stealer however was the little girl Akshaya
who did a good job. John Shea was a professional who has proved why he is the
best in Hollywood. The others did not have much to say. |
Conclusion :
The film is truly
an edge of the seat thriller and the scenes which show the conflict between life
in motherland to the comforts of the developed nations was definitely impacting.
While the first half goes about with a rather smooth presentation, it is the
second half that really hits the top and with the Red One camera being used
completely, the visual effects were mesmerizing. The technical values of the
film were quite high and it must be said that the movie will be a decent success
at the box office though it will appeal to the urban audience mostly.
Bharatstudent Verdict: Gripping
and thrilling!!! |
