Aarupadai Kollywood Movie Review

Story:
A typically boring tale, the story is about the young photographer (Guru) and he is a known professional for his work and nature. He has a girlfriend (Asha) and their romance goes in full swing. However, trouble begins when his boss (Thennavan) casts his eyes upon the photographer's girlfriend and lusts her, from then on a range of harassment begins for him and his girl. Vexed by all this, he decides to put an end to it and he hatches a plot to get rid of his boss. In this process, he finally manages to get rid of his boss and secure his romance with his girl but then this leads to various other problems. Does the hero manage to get out of these problems? This forms the rest of the story.

Aarupadai Tamil Cinema Review

Presentation:
The director has come up with a rather stale storyline and neither the presentation nor the narrative has worked well. The dialogues were totally dull, the script was written shoddily and the screenplay was way below average. The music was horrendous and the cinematography was pale. Editing was absolutely raw and the other departments had nothing significant to contribute. Coming to the cast, Guru did his best to salvage the movie but he has to work more on his expressions, Asha was okay but has a long way to go if she has to prove her mettle. Thennavan was evil enough, Kanja Karuppu failed to evoke laughter, Mayilsamy was okay, Sara came and went, the item songs with Malavika and Lakshya also failed to impress. The others need no mention here.

Conclusion:
The film seems to have taken a lead from a long list of Hollywood flicks and though it appears to be a suspense thriller, it eventually turns out to be a dud. While the first half goes about with the regular tales of romance and action stuff, the second half is more on the suspense elements and thrills though they have not been that impressive. The film will fall flat at the box office as it fails to appeal to any genre of audience.

Bharatstudent Verdict : Poor and disappointing!!!
