Story A predictable tale, the story begins with Vinod Nair (nivin) who hails from a middle class family and is filled with leftist ideals. On the other hand, there is Ayesha (isha) who hails from a very rich and influential Muslim family. However, her family is quite orthodox. As expected, the story takes a turn when Ayesha falls in love with Vinod and the regular hiccups happen. All this is narrated to inspector Premkumar (manoj k jayan) who seems to have a vow to unite all lovers in his vicinity. Whether the love story becomes successful or not forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has come up with a wafer thin storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was not that great. The dialogues were good at places, the script was average and the screenplay was better in first half. Background score was decent and two songs were upto the mark. Cinematography was good. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was appealing in few scenes. Nivin Pauly has come up with a good performance and has shown potential as an actor. Isha Talwar looks pretty but she didn’t get much scope to perform in this role. She needs more opportunities. Manoj K Jayan did his bit as required. Sreenivasan was standard. Ramu was regular. Manikuttan was moderate. Thushara was apt. |
Conclusion: Any film which deals with youthful love stories need to be packed with some visual appeal and some melodious music, that would do the trick. In this movie, the first half takes off on a promising note with some nice sequences and narration but then it is the second half where things go down and become quite clichéd and predictable. However, the makers were keen on targeting the college going crowds and they are successful to an extent with the packaging. At the box office, this could be a decent grosser.
Bharatstudent verdict: For youngsters only!! |
