Story: A regular tale, the story begins with Samson (mammootty) who is a noted small time thief and keeps landing in jail quite often. During one such instance, he gets released and chances upon Mallika (charmi) who also gets released on the same day. With nothing to do, Samson follows her but she meets with an accident. Samson takes care of her and after recovering, she asks him to come to her village. But there, both Samson and Mallika face some interesting challenges. How they manage to face that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a simple storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was decent. The dialogues were natural, the script was alright and the screenplay was well composed. Background score was good and one song was worth humming. Cinematography was professional. Editing was supportive. Costumes were apt to the backdrop while the art department was appealing. Mammootty was all over the movie and he shouldered his role with good balance and maturity. Charmi looks very hot and pretty and she made her presence felt. Murali Gopi was moderate. Mala Aravindan was neat, Vijayaraghavan was regular, Suresh Krishna was standard. |
Conclusion: After a long time Mammootty has come up with a role which is sensible and is also entertaining. While the first half goes about with a slow pace and layering of the plot the interval bang was interesting. The second half goes about with good track of action and comedy. Overall, this is a film which is entertaining to an extent but it is not all that interesting to all genres of audience. At the box office, this will be a safe venture though. Bharatstudent verdict: Simple but entertaining, can be watched once |
