Story: A decent thriller, the story begins with Venu (mohanlal) who is a noted cameraman and has featured in some big channels of the media industry. But currently he is back at home in Kochi due to certain incidents and one among them is his scuffle with fiancée Renuka (Amala Paul) a journalist, regarding a sting operation. That operation also brings trouble to Bharathan Pillai (saikumar) and Rajan Kartha (siddhique) who want to become politicians. The story takes a turn with a politician’s murder and Venu is forced to team up with Renuka for the investigation. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was engaging in parts.  The dialogues were good at places, the script was adequate and the screenplay was alright. Background score was okay and only one song was worth listening. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were trendy and well designed while the art department was appealing. Mohanlal did his bit like a walk in the park and he made his presence felt. Amala Paul was sensuous and put efforts. Biju Menon was the best among the lot. Sai Kumar was not upto the mark, Siddhique was stale.

Conclusion: Thrillers are usually successful when the script is tight and the plot is mixed with many twists. This one has good amount of twists but the pace of the movie slackens. While the first half looks promising, the second half has few drag moments and it is not until the climax that the film gets back into shape. Some of the sequences are too illogical and not relevant. At the box office, the film will still manage to get some good collections and make it to a profit zone.
