Rahasya Police Malluwood Movie Review

Story:
A stale tale, the story is set on the backdrop of the Paravathypuram village and here are two powerful people always at loggerheads with each other. While one is Parambathu Raju (ganesh kumar), the other happens to be Narayana Kaimal (jagathy) and their rivalry is age old. However, it is the presence of the honest and tough cop Rajan (jayaram) who intervenes at all times and brings the situation under control. The story takes a turn when an arrested thief Keshu (riyaz) escapes from the police and the same night, a dead body of a girl is found. She happens to be the friend of Rajan's sister. Meanwhile, Kaimal makes a complaint that it was Raju who did that and Rajan has no choice but to arrest him. In comes Chala Mani (jayaram) a noted goon, his mission is to get Raju out. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Rahasya Police Malayalam Cinema Review

Presentation:
The director has come up with an ordinary storyline and neither the narrative nor the presentation was upto the mark. The dialogues were stale, the script was dull, the screenplay was weak. Music was somewhat okay but the cinematography was the best in the lot. Costumes were alright, art department did its job with perfection, editing was required at many places. Jayaram has managed both roles very well but then it has not created an impact. The presence of Sindhu Menon, Ayilya, Samvritha Sunil was purely to fill the glamour quotient and there was nothing they could offer in terms of performance. Jagathy was standard, Ganesh Kumar was okay. Indrans and Harisree Asokan failed to impress this time. The others didn't have much say.

Rahasya Police Filem Review

Conclusion:
The film was a routine story and there was nothing new that the makers had to offer. Right from the word go, it was understood where the film was heading. Incidentally, the screenplay was also weak and the film has failed to engage the audience at any point. The first half is all about the cop and the regular tiffs, the second half takes an investigative angle but it was lacking that punch and excitement. This will barely appeal those at the B and C centers but otherwise it will fizzle out in no time.
