Puthiya Mukham Malluwood Movie Review

A regular story, the tale begins with Kichan (prithvi) who is a usual Brahmin boy but then he has a prowess in Mridangam and he lives in Kalppathy. He also has a love in the form of Sreedevi (meera) and life goes on smoothly for him. However, things take a turn when Kichan decides to join college in city to get an engineering degree and given his talent in music, he becomes the darling for all. At the same time, he is also hated by the bad guys led by Sudhi (bala). He happens to be the brother of a real estate mafia guy. Soon, friction happens as Sudhi's fiancée Anjana (Priyamani) makes friends with Kicha and this is misinterpreted as love. Kichan starts facing absolute torture to such an extent that he has to undergo psychiatric treatment. He comes back out of it and how he changes forms the rest of the story.

Puthiya Mukham Malayalam Cinema Review

The director has come up with a routine story but then it was the presentation which was good while the narrative could have been better. The dialogues were okay, the script did not have much loose ends, the screenplay was regular. Music made its presence felt with some good tunes and songs while cinematography was excellent. Editing was missing at few points, costumes were apt and the art department also did a fair job. Prithviraj has come up with an exceptional performance in two forms, Meera Nandan was standard, Priyamani looked glamorous and did her bit well. Bala was a surprise package and he carried himself well. The others did their bit to add value to the film but no special performances from that side.

Puthiya Mukham Filem Review

The film happens to be a predictable action treat and while the first half goes on with a rather smooth process, the second half gets a bit shaky with the action sequences. Sometimes, the fights were looking somewhat fabricated. However, it has been quite a while since the audience had been looking for a regular masala film filled with action. This will appeal to the front benchers and all action lovers but otherwise it has been a standard effort.

Bharatstudent Verdict : High voltage action treat!!!
