Nammal Thammil Malluwood Movie Review
An old and rotten tale, the story begins with Vicky (Prithvi) who happens to be the chairman for the college union and ironically, his entire focus is on Anu (Geethu). This is meant to be romance but it is due to the sharp tongue that she has things go wrong, both of them become the bitterest of enemies who cannot stand each other and things are heading for a split. At that time comes Johnny (Indrajith) who hails from Delhi and with his charms, he almost manages to win the heart of Anu. Then, there is the annoying principal (Jagathy) who has the habit of popping in just about anything into his mouth. Meanwhile, there are many misunderstandings that follow between the lead pair and what happens in the end...well lets not to be too bothered.
Nammal Thammil Malayalam Cinema Review
The director has come up with a pre historic storyline and true to the subject, the presentation and narration were pathetic. The script was stale, the screenplay was shoddy, the dialogues were dull and the music was jarring. The camera angles were simple and did not have anything special to offer, editing was haphazard. The other departments need no mention here. Prithviraj would find this a sore wound at this point, Geethu was annoying, Indrajith was handsome but his character was not etched well, Revathy and Suhasini were not utilized to their caliber, Jagathy was disturbing, Balachandra Menon could have been better, Jijoy was plain.
Nammal Thammil Filem Review
The film did not connect to the audience at any point and it looked like a disoriented tale right from the start. One would be in no position to see so much of misunderstanding coincidences and there is no message in the end, after all this. The first half is all about the petty fights and the unexpected twists while the second half is more on the sentiment aspect and a fight that brings in enlightenment much to the dismay of the audience. This movie will fall flat in no time and Prithvi might be kicking himself for having got this at this time of his career.
