A stale tale, the story begins with the hardcore businessman and a seriously materialistic rich man Kunchacko (Sreenivasan) who is uneducated. He is one man who does not believe in sentiments and having come up the hard way, he has trampled across many lives and hearts to make it to the top slot. True to his nature, Kunchacko is not very attached to his family members either and is very tough on emotions. However, the need for family and the pressures from peers finally force him to get married. The lady in his life happens to be Anne Mary (Meena) who is an educated graduate and from then on life begins to change for Kunchacko as he starts to see the softer side of life. However, what makes him realize is that to bring about a change in personality and character for the good reasons, it is not that easy as he had imagined it to be. What are those hardships, forms the rest of the story.

The director has come up with a line that could have triggered an interest but it was important that the script was in tight grip and so was the screenplay. However, both of them were missing and it appeared that a particular objective was missing when the movie was being made. The dialogues are just about okay, the music could have been better, the camera work was upto the standard. Editing was not very sharp though. Coming to the cast, the major flaw in the movie seems to be Sreeni himself as he was showing a lot of traits like his regular middle class role and lacked the cruelty and cold blooded nature required while delivering the heart cutting dialogues. Meena was sparklingly beautiful but her character was not etched to suit the plot well, Nedumudi Venu was regular, Jagathy failed to get the laughs, Janardhanan was so-so, Vijayaraghavan was regular. The others did their bit but not with much strength.

The film was more of a tale of complicated twists and turns and the idea of showing redemption was truly appreciable but then it had to be channelized in the right stream to deliver a punch to the audience. While the first half goes about with the regular building of the plot, the second half gets quite confusing and right at the middle, the major plot falls flat on the ground. The casting, presentation was off the mark and so it looks like another dud might just add into the list of this year.

Bharatstudent Verdict: A below average treat, nothing special
