A regular story with a different touch, it is about three tales of three different women- Teresa (Sukanya) who is living with her daughter Lakshmi as her estranged husband Dr Murali Krishnan (Mukesh) walks out on her, the reason being his extreme philandering habits which is discovered by his wife and leading to a split, then there is the bold natured Rehana who wants to be a successful lawyer but thanks to her husband who is very conventional and orthodox, she is unable to do so. One fine day, she cracks up and just walks out on him to lead an independent life. Last but not the least, there is Premila (Mohini) who is the target of an over possessive husband Pithambaran (Vijayaraghavan) who goes to extent of giving up a good career in Gulf just to be by her side all the time and in this process develops a huge inferiority complex which leads to conflicts and finally a painful separation. All looks dull and gloomy till GK alias Gopakumar (Mohanlal) arrives with his fashion designer Kamala (Meera Jasmine) as he owns the house that Teresa is staying and wants to set up his office since he is a garment exporter. However, looking at her condition he is unable to vacate her and decides to take the other route by trying to get her back to her husband with the help of Kamala and the local real estate broker Immanuel. In this process, he also meets up with Teresa's friends Premila and Rehana and how he manages to bring about a union with their husbands forms the rest of the story.

The subject has already been visited many times but the director takes special care in its presentation which is a bit different from the rest. However, the narration of the story falters at few instants and despite best efforts the loose ends are seen. Music has been relieving but then they have already been heard from somewhere. Editing could have been much better and the camerawork is above average. The script could have been more tighter. While Mohanlal came up with his usual best and had nothing special to offer in his role, it is his warm presence that takes the movie smoothly, Meera Jasmine with her gorgeous looks and innocent eyes makes up for the beauty aspect. The three pairs did not share any on screen chemistry but then the characters are etched in such a way that the competence among them is visible during their scenes. The others were just about okay.

It is definitely a well trodden path where the maker is targeting the soap audience and when it is about the fairer sex, there is a guaranteed percentage of audience which gives a commercial relief. The first half of the movie takes off very well but then the second half gets very dragging and some sequences have been stretched more than required. Despite such drawbacks, the director's experience and the matured cast make up for any flaws and the subject is a very common issue to human beings and their emotions, it find its appeal with the audience. The film will make its money with profits but then reaching a 'hit' mark depends upon the word of mouth and some intelligent marketing of the movie.

Bharatstudent verdict : Can be watched!!! For matured audience only.
