Fiddle Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
A confusing tale, the story begins with a group of musicians who call themselves Satkala Sangham and unlike the rest of the troupes, they work on a different agenda. They are led by Sandeep (varun) and move from village to village. Whatever their earnings are, they give it to the poor and needy. One such trip gets them to a hill station called Ponmudi wherein they stay at a bungalow. However, strange situations occur in that bungalow and this has to do with a girl (ananya) and her life whom Sandeep calls Anamika. What are those situations and what does the troupe do forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has attempted to come up with a mystery thriller but then it turns out to be a letdown. The presentation was okay but the narrative was not. The dialogues were dull, the script was weak and the screenplay was not upto the mark. Background score was good at places but songs were total miss. Camerawork did its bit as required. Editing was simple. Costumes were the saving grace while the art department made its presence felt. Varun tries his best to infuse life into the character but not much happens, Ananya looks sweet but her character is not etched that well. Jagathy was regular, Salim Kumar was okay, Jagadeesh was not used to the fullest, Premkumar was passive, the others did their bit mechanically.

Conclusion:
The film takes off on a musical note but at one point, it begins to get mysterious and confusing. Most importantly, there is no depth in the story and the performances so everything looks rather superficial. Repetitive dialogues and expressions is another major drawback for the film. Though an attempt was made to portray it as a suspense thriller the mystery gets dissolved like this so there is nothing much to hold onto. The major drawback is its plot and this may not appeal to any genre of audience. This might sink at the box office.
