Elsamma Enna Aankutty Malluwood Movie Review
A well knit tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a village and here lives Elsamma (ann augustine) along with her three sisters. She is the adopted daughter of Kunnel Pappan (nedumudi) and is no less than a boy as she delivers newspapers and works as a reporter as well. Elsamma is very strict with her sisters and as usual, she finds enemies in the form of the ward member Remanan (jagathy), hooch man Karipalli Soman and others. As for her support, there is the milkman Palunni (kunchakko) who is uneducated but strongly in love with Elsamma, he never reveals his feelings to her though. Story takes a turn with the arrival of Eby (indrajith) with his three mischievous friends. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Elsamma Enna Aankutty Malayalam Cinema Review
The director has come up with a neat tale and though the narrative was a bit weak, the presentation was good. The dialogues were entertaining, the script was clean but the screenplay was mild. Background score was good but songs were not upto the mark. Camera captured the locations and the moments very well. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were natural and art department was apt. Ann Augustine has come up with an okay performance but good for a debut. Kunchako is an effective performer and did his best. The real show stealer was Indrajith as the rough city bred guy and he scores the brownie points. Jagathy was usual, Nedumudi was natural, Suraj was standard, Janardhanan was okay, KPAC Lalitha was regular. The others did their bit as required and added value.
Elsamma Enna Aankutty Filem Review
The film is basically a family entertainer and since the female has got the protagonist character, the lady audience will connect to it instantly. While the first half goes breezily, it is the second half that comes to a standstill for a while before it takes off again. Perhaps the focus on comedy would have increased the interest in the film. At the box office, this will draw decent collections due to the subject and the connect with the regular viewers.
Bharatstudent Verdict : Family treat, can be watched once
