Story: A well knit tale, the story begins with Dr Arjun (fahad fazil) who hails from a small town in Kerala but lands in Dubai with a good job. His major drawback is his spendthrift attitude and his eye for beautiful women. As part of that, he falls for a nurse named Lekshmy (gowthami) and has a live-in relation. But his spending lands him in financial mess but he is saved by a senior official Narayanan (manian pillai). Arjun returns to Dubai only to find that his mother has set his marriage with Rajshri (anushree), a classical dancer. Even before that materializes, a fashion designer by name Maya (samvrutha) enters into Arjun’s life. What happens from there forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has come up with a very different storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was good in parts. The dialogues were well written. The script was decent and the screenplay could have been better. Background score was neat and all the songs were worth humming. Cinematography was upto the mark. Editing was necessary in second half. Costumes were stylish and well designed while the art department was apt. The film belongs to Fahad Fazil for his exceptional performance. Gowthami Nair looks seductive, Anushree was sensuous, Samvrutha made her presence felt, Rohini was regular, Sreenivasan was standard. The others didn’t have much scope. |
Conclusion: The concept of intertwining the life of the protagonist with various female characters and all of them being linked to a single diamond chain is very interesting. While the first half was good and promising with elements of romance, light humour and other things, it is the second half which falters. There are quite a few scenes where the graph falls down. Overall, the technical and production values were good while the content is different. At the box office, the film has a good chance of scoring success. Bharatstudent verdict: Interesting!! |
