Christian Brothers Malluwood Movie Review
An interesting tale, the story is about two brothers Christie alias Sherson (mohanlal) and Jojy (dileep) and their family also comprises of Jessy (lakshmi gopalaswamy), Stella (kaniha). Their father Capt Verghese Mappillai (sai kumar) is a noted name in the Palamattam Tharavadu but Christie and Jojy are unable to live up to the family fame. Eventually, Christie goes to Mumbai and becomes a police informer while Jojy who takes up priesthood comes out in between as he falls in love with Meenakshi (kavya), daughter of the state home minister. There are the villains in the form of Thampy (vijayaraghavan) and his sons, the IPS officer (biju menon). How their clash with the Christian brothers takes a turn forms the rest of the story.
Christian Brothers Malayalam Cinema Review
The director has come up with a thought provoking storyline and while the presentation was impacting, the narrative was appealing. The dialogues were witty and charged up, the script was well written and the screenplay was impressive. Background score was good but songs could have been better. Cinematography is top notch. Editing was crisp. Costumes were colorful and rich while the art department was natural and catchy. Mohanlal had a cake walk with his act. Dileep gave a riveting act. Sarath Kumar made his presence felt. Suresh Gopi was impressive. Lakshmi Rai looks luscious, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy looks seductive, Kaniha was the best among the lot. Saikumar was standard, Vijayaraghavan was predictable. The others did their bit as required.
Christian Brothers Filem Review
The film gives a feel of the big multi-starrer 'Twenty:20' and given the various twists and turns, there is enough for the audience to enjoy. However, there is a drag during the second half which tests the patience in few moments. Also, few twists become quite predictable after sometime. Few scenes remind you of the Kollywood thrillers. Overall, the film has got huge star appeal so the openings will be great and with positive word of mouth, it will reach profit zone easily.
