Bachelor Party Malluwood Movie Review

Story: A hard hitting tale, the story begins with a group of friends Geevarghese (Indrajith), Tony (Asif Ali), Benny (Rahman), Aiyappan (Kalabhavan Mani) and Fakeer (Vinayakan). They grow up indulging in small thefts. However, Aiyappan and Fakeer go ahead and join the notorious don Prakash Kammath. They are eventually joined by Tony as driver. In no time, Tony falls in love with Neethu (nithya), daughter of the don’s secret wife. The story takes a turn when Geevarghese and Benny end up shooting Kammath and Tony elopes with Neethu. But after a while, Kammath returns surviving the attack and vows revenge. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Bachelor Party Malayalam Cinema Review

Presentation: The director has come up with a raw storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was not that great. The dialogues were too nasty, the script was not strong and the screenplay was okay. Background score was good and songs were worth humming. Cinematography was upto the mark. Editing was good at places but was required during the second half. Costumes were suitable to the environment while the art department was filled with natural surroundings. Among the lead cast, it was Rehman and Indrajith who came up with an impressive act. Asif Ali made his presence felt. Kalabhavan, Nithya, Vinayakan were good.

Conclusion: The film comes across as one of those offbeat entertainers which starts off as a romantic or soft noted venture but turns out to be very violent as it progresses. While the first half was filled with the elements of fun and love, it is the second half that goes completely serious and violent. The key reason for the film to suffer was the language and the rawness shown which is rather unconvincing. Overall, this may not appeal to many so success at the box office is doubtful.
