Story: A repeated tale, the
story is about Krishnan (bala) who grows up the hard way and becomes a criminal.
He becomes a cold blooded killer and doesn't hesitate to kill anyone. However,
his only source of emotion is his childhood friend who was always there to
support him during his younger days and now, even that person is not to be
located. The story takes a turn when Krishnan gets an assignment to finish a
talented and budding singer Ramanujam (Vijay yesudas). When he gears up to
finish the target, Krishnan realizes who Ramanujam is. What happens from there
forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The
director has come up with a known tale and though the presentation was alright,
the narrative was not upto the mark. The dialogues were stale, the script was
shallow and the screenplay was mediocre. Background score was not good and the
songs were not appealing. Camerawork was fine. Editing was required at key
places. Costumes didn't have to work much but art department was natural and
convincing. Bala has carried out his role with enthusiasm and he tried his best
to infuse life into it. Vijay Yesudas's debut was rather hyped as it was more of
a cameo than a full length role. Riaz Khan was perfect in his role, Muktha looks
sensuous but not much was required from her in terms of performance. Thalaivasal
Vijay was not used to his fullest. The others did their bit mechanically but not
much effect.

Conclusion: The film
could have been a lot better if there were few twists involved. Moreover, the
overdose of sentiment tests the patience of the viewers and there is not one
scene that really captures the attention of the audience and connects them with
the story. The lack of depth in the emotional scenes and superficial body
language spoils the product. At the box office, it is difficult for the film to
get to a profit mark but it might get its investment back. Bharatstudent Verdict: Nothing
special, just normal |
