Anwar Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
A repeated tale, the story begins with Anwar (prithvi) who gets arrested as a hawala deal goes wrong and lands in jail. Here, he comes across Babu Sait (lal), a hardcore fanatical terrorist and in no time, he gets lured into the fundamentalism. On the other hand, Ayesha (mamatha) is a chemical engineer who gets arrested by the DIG Stalin Manimaran (prakashraj) on suspicion of being a terrorist. The story takes a turn when Anwar is released and he along with few key aides of Sait begins to plant bombs across various locations in the city. On the other hand, Manimaran discovers the moves of Anwar and begins his hunt for the suspect. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a routine story and though the presentation was exceptional, there was nothing new in the narrative. The dialogues were better, the script was completely predictable, the screenplay was okay. Background score was good and two songs were well done. Cinematography was the major highlight. Editing was required at key points. Costumes were good, art department was realistic. Prithviraj has come up with a delectable performance and he has scored the brownie points, Mamatha was brief but she made her presence felt, Lal was good, Prakashraj was powerful, Salim managed to get few smiles. The others just came and went.

Conclusion:
The major setback for the film is its theme and storyline since it was very routine and has often been visited by many storytellers. The plus points in the film are the technical values and the rich presentation. However, the content went really weak and it failed to engage the audience for long. The real momentum begins only during the last hour of the film by which time, the viewers were squirming in their seats. As such, the openings will be good given the star power but it will take some publicity from the team to ensure that this reaches a safe zone.
