Story: An interesting tale, the story begins with a pickpocket (indrajith) who tries to rob an old man (nedumudi venu) near a harbor and ends up in a motorboat. This takes him to an island which is quite isolated and has only few inhabitants. One is a mute girl (amala), other is a helper who stammers (anoop) and a seven year old boy (master govardhan). At first, the pickpocket is all frustrated for landing up in this isolated place but as days pass by he discovers the bonding between the island inmates which brings a transformation in him. How that happens forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a well intentioned storyline and while the presentation was nice, the narrative was apt. The dialogues were sensible, the script was written with good relevance and the screenplay was upto the mark. Background score was alright and songs were not that great. Cinematography was suiting the situations. Editing was not that sharp. Costumes were natural and realistic while the art department was effective. Indrajith has come up with a very good performance and makes his point. Amala Paul was awesome. Nedumudi Venu was natural, Anoop Chandran was upto the mark, master Govardhan was moderate. The others did their bit as required and added value.

Conclusion: The very thought of coming up with a storyline which revolves around three or four people in an island requires lot of guts to make it as a film. Here, the movie comes across with good substance but there are times when the drag hampers the momentum. While the first half goes about with a promising outlook, the second half gets into staggering moments and some unwanted preaching. Overall, this is a film which is more suitable for the arthouse audience. At the box office, it could be an average grosser.
