22 Female Kottayam Malluwood Movie Review

Story:  A bold tale, the story begins with Tessa Abraham (rima) who works as a nurse in the big city of Bangalore. She hails from Kerala and gets used to the life of the metro city. As most nurses want, she decides to go abroad and takes the help of the consultant Cyril (fahad fazil). In no time, both get close and at one point Tessa gets physically intimate with Cyril. The story takes a turn when Cyril ends up having a fight with the son of a big official and he goes into hiding. But Tessa has a mystery guest at her home and that changes her life. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

22 Female Kottayam Malayalam Cinema Review

Presentation: The director has come up with a very different storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was engaging. The dialogues were written well. The script was strong and the screenplay was top notch. Background score was good but only the title song was impressive. Cinematography was captivating. Editing was justified. Costumes were natural while the art department was suiting the moods. Fahad Fazil has given an effective performance and he has merged into the character well. The real show stealer was Rima Kallingal who has given a riveting act. Sathar was upto the mark. Prathap Pothen was apt. T G Ravi was feasible. Reshmi made her presence felt while Zubeida did her bit as required.

22 Female Kottayam Filem Review

Conclusion: As such, the film is more female oriented and it goes to show how a timid character grows strong. This is more like a film that challenges the norms of society and shows females in a rather demonstrative and sexist manner. While the first half goes about with some realistic elements of romance and lust, it is the second half that has the serious twist and gives a thriller feel. Overall, this is a film which will score due to its intense content and a subject which is rather offbeat and revolutionary. At the box office, success looks strong.
