Story: A ridiculous tale, the story begins with Mass Manava (upendra) who completes his life on earth and due to his doings, he has to spend half time in hell and half time in heaven. While in hell, he uses his brain and creates trouble even to Yamadharma Raja (ambarish) and his position. With some tactics, Mass Manava manages to come to heaven and here Indraja (ramya), daughter of Indra (sridhar) falls in love with him. A time comes when the affair is leaked and Indra calls upon Brahma to sort out the issue. What happens after that forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has come up with an illogical storyline and though the presentation was exceptional, the narrative was not that great. The dialogues were meant for Uppi fans, the script had many logical loopholes and the screenplay was alright. Background score was good and songs were well shot. Cinematography was the highlight and editing was not upto the mark. Costumes were well designed and art department was fabulous. Upendra has come up with an energetic performance and he has entertained his fans completely. Ramya looks ravishingly seductive but close up shots could have been avoided. Ambareesh did his bit as required. Sridhar was standard. Doddanna brought few smiles. |
Conclusion: The film seems to have taken slight inspiration from the Telugu movie Yama Donga but the story was tweaked to a large extent. While the visual appeal and grandeur was of good standard, the content was horrendous. The first half of the film goes on a lighter note with elements of comedy and punch dialogues, the second half gets into a little serious stuff and some melodrama. Overall, this is a film which has more of style than substance and at the box office, it could work at the B,C centers.
Bharatstudent verdict: For Uppi fans only!! |
