Sree Hari Kathe Sandalwood Movie Review

A known tale with a different touch, the story begins with Hari Krishna (murali) who is a decent guy married to Prakruthi (radhika). However, Prakruthi is more studies oriented and she asks for six months time so that she can finish her studies and assures that they can consummate their marriage. Hari agrees and lets the six months pass. During this time, his friend Ram (Naveen) keeps filling Hari's ears with womanizing ideas but Hari remains unfazed. The six months pass but again Prakruthi asks for some more time and this frustrates Hari. He decides to take the advice of Ram and gets introduced to one of his friend (pooja). As expected, things begin to get complicated and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Sree Hari Kathe Kannada Cinema Review

The director has come up with a noted storyline but then it is the way he has presented and narrated it that makes the difference. The dialogues were neat, the script was sensible and the screenplay was apt. Background score was appealing but songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography provided few good moments. Editing was weak. Costumes were trendy and the art department didn't have much to do. Sri Murali has come up with an elegant performance and he is the perfect choice for the role. Radhika looks ravishingly hot but then it is her performance that gets more credit. Pooja looks erotic and raises the oomph factor in a big way. The real showstealer was Naveen Krishna with his impeccable timing of dialogues. Srinivas Murthy was standard, Padmaja was regular, Sihikahi Chandru was standard. The others offered their bit as required.

Sree Hari Kathe Filem Review

The film runs on a noted theme but then it is the way the real life situations have been depicted that strike a chord with the audience. While the first half was alright, the second half got a bit jazzed up and if only the makers had worked on increasing the dose of comedy instead of filling it with sentiment, the film would have generated a stronger response. Overall, the film works well in parts and it will take some positive word of mouth for it to make it to a success mark.

Bharatstudent Verdict : Passable entertainer, could have been better though
