Shishira Sandalwood Movie Review
Story:
A chilly tale, the story begins with a group of friends with differing opinion on the existence of god and ghosts. While there is Suraj (yashas) who is an outright atheist and believes only in hard work and creativity as the rule of existence, there are others in his group who are quite the opposite. One of his friends Athai (athaib) throws a challenge to Suraj. He asks him to spend just 12 hours in a ruined building without coming out. Suraj takes it up and enters the building without a mobile phone too. He chances upon a diary that reveals about the inmates of the house and how they were killed brutally by a criminal who knew the family. Soon, Suraj begins to experience few incidents and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a thought provoking tale and given his debut attempt, the narrative and presentation were good. The dialogues were regular, the script was neat and the screenplay was captivating. Background score added to the moods but songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography was brilliant while editing could have been sharp at few places. Art department and lighting department were show stealers while costumes didn't have much work to do. Yashas has come up with a good performance and he has shown improvement. Meghana had a small role but she made up for the glamour part. Prema is good performance wise but then she needs to work on her looks. Athaib was regular but then the real impact creator was Santosh who played the evil role very well. The others didn't have much to offer.

Conclusion:
The film happens to be a suspense cum horror thriller and such movies rely heavily on technical aspects and screenplay. Both of them were upto the mark in this one and though the first half picks up a bit slowly, it is the second half that creates an impact and there are few good shock moments. The technical aspects of the film made a good presence and it was handled well. The film may not be a super hit but then it sure has enough ingredients to become a profitable and acclaimed venture.

Bharatstudent Verdict: Good horror treat, can be watched once
