Story: A stale tale, the story begins with Sooryaprakash (gururaj) who is in love with Bhumika (roopasri) and they are in a foreign country. Once they reach India, Bhumika discovers that Sooryaprakash is their distant relative and she has a joint family. However, the reason for Sooryaprakash entering into the home of Bhumika is something else. He wants the big family to accept his mother who eloped from the house nearly twenty years ago. In this process, Sooryaprakash genuinely falls in love with Bhumika. What happens after that forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has come up with a routine storyline and while the presentation was sober, the narrative was meek. The dialogues were not upto the mark. The script was written with average value and screenplay was having few jerks. Background score was alright and only one song is tolerable. Cinematography was regular. Editing was required especially during the second half. Costumes were natural while the art department made its presence felt. Gururaj Jaggesh is not handsome but he shows potential as a performer. Roopasri Pai was neat from long shots but not in close-ups. The real showstealer was Skanda Ashwath with his performance. Srinivasamurthy was standard, Vijayalakshmi was routine, Bhavya was boring, Shanker Patil was okay. |
Conclusion: The film comes across with a rather outdated storyline and one can feel that it is a hotchpotch of various movies from different languages. Given the stale backdrop, the first half goes with the regular elements of romance, songs and comedy. The second half gets into the melodrama angle with sentimental overdose and the climax is predictable. Overall, this is a film which has been made with no variety and entertainment quotient. At the box office, it is very hard for the film to survive. Bharatstudent verdict: Forget it!! |
