Paper Dhoni Sandalwood Movie Review

Story: A ridiculous tale, the story begins with Chetan (naveen) and his friend Gagan (adhi lokesh) who are software professionals. They come up with a proposal to design a laptop worth only Rs 2500 so that it can be given to the farmers and needy in the rural areas of Karnataka. But the chief minister is not convinced with the idea and he rejects it. The story takes a turn when the foreign countries like this proposal and soon, Chetan becomes a successful entrepreneur. So much that he even starts travelling abroad and solving problems of other countries including terrorism. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Paper Dhoni Kannada Cinema Review

Presentation: The director has come up with a amateur storyline and while the presentation was poor, the narrative was below standards. The dialogues were routine, the script was not gripping and the screenplay was barely okay. Background score was good and songs were worth humming. Cinematography was upto the mark. Editing was ordinary at places but was required during the half. Costumes were alright while the art department was apt. Naveen Krishna was present throughout the film and he tried his best to suit the image. Shanthala is sexy and fitted well for the songs. Adhi Lokesh was average, Avinash was apt, Satyajith was standard, Vinayaprasad was matured.

Conclusion: The film comes across with a ridiculous essence and while the first half focused on the elements of romance, stale comedy and some fights, the second half gets into some serious momentum of plot but even then the narrative a major letdown by the maker and despite everything, the film just doesn’t pick up. Overall, this is a film which will find it hard to sizzle at the box office. So, it can be ignored.
