Naanu Nanna Kanasu Sandalwood Movie Review
Set on the backdrop of a hill station of Coorg, the wealthy businessman Raj Uthappa (prakashraj) simply dotes on his daughter Kanasu (amoolya). So much that he gets possessive about her and extremely protective. The time comes when Kanasu grows up and goes to New Delhi for her studies. The story takes a turn when Amoolya reveals about her love affair with Joginder (achyuth), a sardar. Raj is totally shocked and he doesn't take it that easily though his wife (sithara) is positive about it. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Naanu Nanna Kanasu Kannada Cinema Review
The director has come up with a sensible storyline and both his presentation and narrative were excellent. The dialogues were touching, the script was well written and the screenplay was impressive. Background score was apt and two songs were worth taking home. Full marks go to the cinematography department and the locations. Editing was crisp. Costumes were appealing and the art department made its presence felt. Yet again, it was Prakashraj show all the way and he stole the limelight at every frame, Amoolya was sweet and she did her bit as required, Sithara was nice, Ramesh Aravind was elegant, Achyuth Kumar was apt, Sihikahi did his bit and brought few smiles, others also contributed effectively to the story.
Naanu Nanna Kanasu Filem Review
The film is a remake of the Telugu super hit 'Akasamantha' and though it has been repeated in Tamil as well, the Kannada version will still shine. While the first half is more on the lighter side, the second half gets emotional with its share of humor and melodrama. This is the debut venture of Prakashraj as a director and he has proved himself in this department as well. Overall, the film will appeal to the family audience and those who are parents of girls. This will click at the box office.
