Manasare Sandalwood Movie Review

A love tale with twists, the story begins with the life of Manohar (diganth) who is a carefree guy and he has his first jolt when he realizes that his lover has left him for a well settled and good looking man. On the other hand, he is being ill-treated by his uncle's family and the story takes a turn when Manohar goes out with his friends for a party. Accidentally, he is captured by members of a mental asylum and put into the hospital under heavy sedation. Apparently, a look alike goes missing. While Manohar tries to come out, he chances upon Devaki (aindrita) in the hospital and falls in love with her. Soon, both decide to elope and they are successful. However, after spending few days outside, they decide to get back to the hospital and at the same time, the real patient is located. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Manasare Kannada Cinema Review

The director has come up with a tale of twists and the presentation was neat while the narrative could have been better. The dialogues were alright but the script was lacking the depth, the screenplay was average. Songs and music was a good asset while cinematography was top notch. Editing was required at few key places, costumes and art department worked hard and gave a good look. Diganth has come up with a different image this time and his performance was smooth, Aindrita looked really hot in the songs and she has done an equally good performance as well, Raghu Thilakothe was excellent, Balaji Manohar was evil enough, Pavankumar was standard, Pushpak was average, Ashok Rao was regular.

Manasare Filem Review

Though this was not like those impact creating movies made by the makers before, it had its share of good and sad moments. The first half was outright hilarious but soon the mood changes and it gets into a rather sober tale of sadness and romance. However, the happy ending is a good way to culminate the climax. The film may appeal to the youth audience given its genre and the presence of the stars but otherwise, it might just pass out as an average treat at the box office.
