Abhay Sandalwood Movie Review
Story:
A regular tale, the story begins with the chartered accountant Abhay (darshan) who is going to Switzerland and his life takes a turn when he chances upon Arthi (arthi thakur). It is love at first sight for him and since then, Abhay follows and woos her to the fullest. However, Arthi turns down his offers and though she likes him, she doesn't accept. Later, she reveals that Arthi has actually run away from an engagement ceremony wherein she was to betroth Pandu, the brother of a notorious MLA (pradeep rawath). This gets Abhay into action and he hatches a plan in such a way that Arthi goes back to Pandu's home, he enters the same home. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Abhay Kannada Cinema Review
Presentation:
The director has come up with a boring theme and though the presentation is good, the narrative is weak. The dialogues were dull, the script was regular, the screenplay was okay. Nothing much happened from background score and two songs were good, cinematography was good at key scenes and also in the songs. Locations and action sequences have been good, editing could have been better. Costumes were trendy and art department was also good. Darshan has come up with a super performance for his fans but then there was nothing different from his other ventures, Arthi was not upto the mark, Pradeep Rawath was not utilized to the fullest, Salim Baig was okay, Aryaman was alright, the saving grace here was the comedy by Omprakash Rao which gave relief.
Abhay Filem Review
Conclusion:
The film suffered mainly due to its poor storyline and there have been many movies that came in this format. While the first format is all about the romance and the comedy, the second half is about the drama element and the eventual action packed scenes. There was a drag in the second half which tests the patience of the audience as they are already aware of what is happening on the screen. Except for Darshan fans, there is nothing in the movie that will make it a success.
