Zokkomon Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
A different tale, the story begins with Kunal (darsheel) who is an orphan and sees the hard way of life as his uncle (anupam) abandons him. With challenges around him from all sides, Kunal discovers how cruel things can get and decides to fight it out. That leads him to meet his scientist uncle (tinu) and this gives rise to the formation of the superhero Zokkomon. How the ordinary boy becomes the extraordinary individual and what happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a different storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was not gripping. The dialogues were stable, the script was spineless and the screenplay was average. Background score was nice but songs were unwanted disturbance. Cinematography was excellent. Editing was required during many situations. Costumes were creative while the art department was appealing. Darsheel comes up with a delectable performance and shoulders the film well. Manjari looks sensuous as usual but her role is rather soft in this. Anupam Kher was riveting and scores the brownie points. Tinu Anand was effective. The others did their bit as required.

Conclusion:
The film draws attention as it attempts to show perhaps the first child superhero in Indian cinema. While the concept was good, the film fails to attract due to poor writing. There are many scenes sans logic and loopholes in such areas tend to bring the momentum down. While the first half goes about with the hardships of the protagonist, the second half is about his adventures. As such, this is a film which will appeal to the kids but success at the box office is doubtful due to a rather unconvincing narrative.
