Teree Sang Bollywood Movie Review

A thought provoking tale, the story is set on the backdrop of Delhi and here is Kabir (ruslaan) who comes from a middle class family and has got understanding parents (satish kaushik, sushmita mukherjee). His life takes a turn when he meets Maahi (sheena), the only daughter of the rich Puri family (rajat Kapoor, Neena gupta). Both Kabir and Maahi become good friends and they are just in their teens. A camping trip happens during the eve of New Year and given the high spirits and moods, both of them get intimate. In few months, Maahi realizes that she is pregnant and this tends to create a major friction between both families. Kabir and Maahi elope from their homes to start a new life. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Teree Sang Hindi Cinema Review

The director has come up with a sensible storyline and he has been well supported with good presentation and convincing narrative. The dialogues were neat, the script could have been better and the screenplay was apt. Music and background score made its presence felt while cinematography was perfect. Costumes were trendy and the art department also was creative. Editing was upto the standard. Ruslaan carried out his role very well and was natural, Sheena is a show stealer and she looks cute and attractive. Rajat Kapoor was royal, Neena was elegant, Satish Kaushik was excellent and Sushmita was splendid. The others did not have much to do in this one.

Teree Sang Filem Review

The film tends to focus on the issue of teenagers and teen pregnancy but then care has been taken not to make it a sleazy treat. While the first half goes on a lighter mode with the teen romance and fun, the second half falters due to melodramatic and unrealistic sequences until the climax arrives with a smooth landing. The film could have been a lot better if the filmy scenes were avoided and though it is not a very engaging tale, it sure is good in parts. This will go well with youth audience who look for sensible stuff but then some positive word of mouth is required to push it to the success mark.
Bharatstudent Verdict : Can work out at BO, sensible
