Shaitan Bollywood Movie Review

A gripping tale, the story begins with a group of friends Amy [Kalki], Dash [Gulshan], KC [Shiv], Zubin [Neil] and Tanya [Kirti]. They are from higher sections of society and have a happy go lucky life full of fun and adventure. Their lives take a turn due to an accident and in the process of covering that up, they end up doing one wrong move after another. In between this comes the inspector Arvind Mathur (Rajeev Khandelwal) whose task is to apprehend these youngsters. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Shaitan Hindi Cinema Review

The director has come up with a hitting storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was tight. The dialogues were stable, the script was witty and the screenplay was above average. Background score was nice but songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography was apt to the situations. Editing was sharp. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was creative. Rajeev Khandelwal comes up with a riveting performance and scores, Kalki was a revelation and she grabs the attention, Shiv makes his presence felt, Rajit Kapoor was good, Gulshan was alright, Kirti Kulhari was efficient. Pawan Malhotra was superb. Rukhsar was regular, the others did their bit as required and added value.

Shaitan Filem Review

The film is a proper treat for the new age generation and it is also an insight into the human psyche when pushed to the corner. While the first half is mild and takes its time to pick up, it is the second half that makes up for the slow start and gives a nail biting experience. Technically, the film is alright but it is the content and the performances which strike a chord. The film may not have a promising star cast but then it has enough material to score profits at the box office. This is recommended for the youth audience.
Bharatstudent verdict: Realistic and effective!!
