Sankat City Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
A gripping entertainer, the story is set on the backdrop of Mumbai and here is Guru (kay kay) who happens to be a skilled car thief but a small timer. He has got an accomplice in the form of Ganpat (dilip) who owns a garage and his job is to take the stolen cars, give it a new look and make it ready for another sale at a better price. Their lives take a turn when Guru gets to see a beautiful Mercedes near a brothel. He steals the car and gets it to the garage. Much to their luck, both discover a bag of currency amounting close to Rs 1 crore. Their happiness knows no bounds but what they don't realize is the car belongs to the dreaded gangster Faujdaar (anupam) who is known for his loan recovery techniques as well. What follows from there problems after problems for both Guru and Ganpat and whether they manage to come out of the whole thing or not forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and both his presentation and narratives were excellent. The dialogues were well written, the script was strong and the screenplay was adept. Music contributed its bit in the form of background score and cinematography added value to the scenes. Editing was crisp and though it faltered at few places, overall it was nice. Costumes were trendy and the art department did its bit to make its presence felt. The performances were top notch with Kay Kay delivering a remarkable act, Anupam Kher was top notch as usual, Dilip was good, Rimi looked ravishing and sexy, Chunky was impressive, Yashpal Sharma was apt, Hemant Pandey was neat and the others also made their presence felt strongly.

Conclusion:
The film might find a thing or two with the recent success '99' given a part of the storyline but then the makers have been good at etching out the story in a entertaining manner. The first half takes off with a flyer and goes on till the interval, the second half goes down on the pace and gets dragged a bit but again it culminates into a very good climax and the audience get their money's worth. This is for those who look for good performances and storyline and not the regular glamorous heroes and their brand appeal. Some word of mouth will surely help this movie turn good profits at the box office.
