Story: A known tale, the story begins with Anushka (tanushree) who marries a rather elderly Ravi (sachin) who has lost his first wife. As part of their wedding gift, Ravi gifts her a home and they decide to start their life with beautiful dreams. However, all that changes into a nightmare since Anushka begins to have some weird experiences. Ravi assumes that she has been imagining things but finally agrees to go back to their own place. But then, the experiences still continue until Anushka ends up killing Ravi. This gets Ahana (udita), Anushka's sister into the picture and whether the problem gets solved or not forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a known storyline but then it is the presentation and narration that manage to appeal. The dialogues were okay, the script was well written but the screenplay could have been better. Background score adds to the moods but songs are weak. Cinematography missed out on few angles but there are shock points. Editing could have been crisp at few places. Costumes didn't have much to do but art department was convincing. The graphical effects were professional. Udita has given a neat act but given her sex doll image, it takes a while to accept her like this, Tanushree shows good expression of fear, Shaad was neat, Nishigandha was natural, Sachin was superb, the real showstealer however was Ashwini Kalsekar. The others did their bit as required.

Conclusion: Looking at the story, one has seen such flavor in lot of horror flicks that came in the past but the director has managed to keep things under good grip. While the first half is quite stale, things pick up in the second half but then it is the climax that gets quite routine taking out the punch in the film. If only the makers had focused on giving it that extra dose of horror with a reasonable ending, it would have been much better. There are few questions which strike the audience but are not answered. Commercially, the film might appeal to the horror lovers to an extent but scoring a hit is ruled out. Bharatstudent Verdict : Okay, could have been better |
