Phhir Bollywood Movie Review
A reincarnation tale, the story begins with Kabir (rajnees) who is a doctor and he has a beautiful wife Sia (roshni chopra). All goes well for him with a successful career and a happy married life. One day, Sia goes missing and Kabir is unable to locate her. He takes the help of Disha (adah sharma), a clairvoyant. What starts as a regular search for a missing person turns out to be a journey of unraveling a mystery which has led to the missing of Sia. What is that mystery? What are Disha's views? All this forms the rest of the story.
Phhir Hindi Cinema Review
The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was alright. The dialogues were regular, the script was average while the screenplay was having few loopholes. Background score was good and two songs were upto the mark. Cinematography was eye catching and the highlight of the film. Editing was sharp but was required during second half. Costumes were stylish and trendy while the art department was rich. Rajneesh has given an improved performance this time. Roshni Chopra is sensuous but her screen time is limited. Adah Sharma was pretty and did her bit as required. Mohan Agashe was terrific, Parag Tyagi was good. The others didn't have much to offer.
Phhir Filem Review
A story which deals with reincarnation and mystery often appeals to the audience. However, the film gets successful only if the momentum and mystery is maintained till the end and the unraveling is done in a riveting manner. In this, the film takes off very well and the interval bang also raises expectations. However, it is the climax which dilutes the entire intensity and gets stereotype leaving the audience sore. If only the writers worked on the climax part, the film would have been a strong hitter. At the box office, it could be an average grosser.
