New York Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
A powerful tale, the story begins with Omar (neil) who hails from India and he comes to the US for the first time and lands in New York. This is for his education and soon, he meets Maya (Katrina), the cheerful girl of the college and Samir (john). Both Maya and Samir are locals of the city and soon the three become very good friends. Omar begins to see a new world and this happens through the eyes of Maya and Samir for him. However, things take a turn when an incident takes place and their lives get into a turmoil of sorts. To add to it, in comes FBI officer Roshan (irrfan) and he begins to dig deep into their lives and soon the friends find themselves going through a frenzy. What is that incident, what does agent Roshan do, will the three finally make it and keep their friendship intact? All this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an original storyline and true to his caliber, both the narrative and the presentation have been good. The dialogues were sensible, the script was neat and the screenplay was perfect. Music contributed significantly to the moods and due credit must be given to the writers for penning a crisp story. Cinematography was remarkable and leaves a visual impact. The costumes were chic and the art department has done a splendid job. Neil has proved why he is the blue eyed boy of Bollywood with his body language and mannerisms. John has come up with an explosive performance himself and he takes over the entire second half. Katrina Kaif is looking more and more seductive with each film and this time, she has shown her mettle as an actress with an impressive performance. The real show stealer as usual was Irrfan Khan with his impeccable act. The others were just brief.

Conclusion:
Though many gossips were going around the story of the film, the maker has made sure that there is not an inkling of truth in it. The story is quite original and while the first half races to an entertaining start things change before the interval, the second half is the one to watch out for and gives an hair rising experience at few points. However, there is a slack in the pace during the second half due to dragged scenes which were not required. Overall, the film is a good combo of powerful performances and efficient technical values. This will appeal to the urban and youth audience in a big way and perhaps the mass folks can have a visual feast out of this one.
